Bottle. Pours a dark amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty spicy caramel aroma. Sweetish malty spicy yeasty caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy yeasty caramel finish.

2012 bottle. Deep, dark orange-gold, thick and a thick white head. Lots of bubbles rising slowing through the viscous thick body. Malty, lots of stone fruits, melon, honey, peach, light hop, yeast. Sweet and fruity, honey, biscuits, nicely tasty though, good enough bitterness. big thick body, bit very sparkling. Decent, too sweet though.

(Bottle) Nut brown colour, slightly hazy, with brief frothy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with caramel, dark fruit, prunes, raisins, dark bread, brown sugar and a slight touch of oxidization. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, prunes, raisins, brown sugar, caramel, crisp-bread, chestnut honey, chocolate, a touch of ripe banana and a sweet finish with fairly low bitterness and a warming touch of alcohol. Almost full body, well rounded with alcohol in the background. Fairly sweet. A bit one dimensional, but tasty and quite nice.

Bottle, thanks to Andy Snow, split at Colin and the Vikings tasting "After Party", Nol, Goteborg, Sweden 22/03/14. Dark chestnut brown with a moderate light tan head that clears edgeward. Nose is dark toffee, spice, marzipan, dark fruit notes, musty wood, brown sugars, dates, fruit cake mix. Taste comprises Xmas cake, dates, prunes, light spice, demerera sugars, sherry twang, sweet licks. Medium + body, fine carbonation, sweet close. Ok stuff for the ABV, fairly easy drinking, lacks a bit of depth ABV considered but the balance is good and it never gets too sweet.
