Why advertise the fact that you added fake colour? Foreign concept to me, but then I’ve never been to Malta. So indeed the colour is black with some caramel around edges. Pours basically flat with no head. There’s some lactose here. A little sour on aftertaste. Palate pretty empty. Bottle from Champane’s.

33cl can @ home shared with Travlr. Clear orange, lightly golden color, small white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma and taste only have malts, biscuits and wort. Uninteresting pale lager, but it could have been worse.

Straw blond colour. It’s quite low on flavour. Doesn’t have the crisp clean feel needed from this type of beer. Quite a bitter finish.

Bottle from a kiosk in Rabat, Malta. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a brown head. Lightly roasted malt aroma with fruits and hints of sour milk. Sweet and mildly roasty with hints of bitterness in the finish. Ok, and easy to drink. Far from the worst beer from Malta. (2012-09-24)

33cl can in Rabat, Malta. Pours clear yellow with a bubbely white head. Fruity aroma with citrus and hints of malt. Sweet, but quite fresh with light citrus and actually some bitterness in the finish too. Well balanced, not too sweet. Quite lemonady with just a hint of beer. Refreshing in the sun, but so is 7up too. (2012-09-24)

25cl bottle at Il Fortizza, Sliema, Malta. Pours pale golden with a white head. Aroma of pale malt with hints of cooked vegetables. Quite sweet, but with a bit more body and balance than the regular Cisk. Quite standard industrial pale lager, drinkable, but far from exciting. (2012-09-23)

33cl from a supermarked in Sliema. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt and alcohol. Classic malt liquor, very sweet, quite malty with a very noticable alcohol content. A bit unpleasant, but drinkable in case of emergency. Way to sweet and alcoholic for my taste, but hints of fruit comes along as I drink. Drinkable, but best avoided in my opinion. (2012-09-23)
