Hazy golden color. Bread nose. Thin malt and bread flavor, too poor hop, prelude to a quite weak palate.

Light bronze. Aroma is lightish - hop, caramel. Palate is hoppy, showing moderate bitterness. Light body but firm. Enjoyable herbal bitterness...there could be more to this but its a reasonable dose of hops and would score very well on the overall impression if you were actually in Malta.

Cheers to omhper for hooking me up with the Farsons beers! Light copper colour, light mineral aroma with balsa wood and nuts. Nutty notes and light caramel and that's about it - a fairly quick and simple beer.

Very dark brown. Nutty, sweet malt aroma, with light coffee. Light body. Vaguely nutty, sweetish and thin. After Jackson's praise, and armed with the knowledge of just how cool this could be to find a classic milk stout in Malta, I had this on my "most wanted list" for years. Disappointing, and a far cry from the Milk Stout I had from John Harvard's a few years back, which was a far better example of what can be done with the style.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Grassy and reasonably dry. Medium-light body. Pleasantly hoppy with bitter finish.

Canned. This was an oddity. I saw only one can available in the whole country, no matter how hard I looked. I was fearful that it would be well out of date or something, but it seemed OK. It poured golden and somewhat hazy with small, airy head. Reasonably malty and rather sweet with near decent hop rate and some late bitternes. An average lager.

Bottled. This beer has quite a reputution as it is mentioned by Alan Marshall in his famous beer-records.faq dating back to 1995 as the darkest beer he knew at 450 EBC. It pours very black with a brownish head, but I think nowadays there are darker beers. It is sweet and creamy and rather light bodied. The mouthfeel as well rounded and it is lightly roasty and somewhat chocoaltey. The finish is velvetty with low bitterness. A good crossing between milk chocolate and stout.

Canned. Pale golden. Light citrus aroma. Fruity and dryish with nice touch of resiny hops. Rather low bitterness with just some saltiness in the finish.
