Description
France, Germany, Switzerland, and of course Alsace. These 4 countries, these 4 cultures which surround us and which one after the other have shaped the way we live today. Mix all this and let it mature in a fermenter with very fresh yeasts. You will already begin to understand the state of mind of the place where it is found today: the Brasserie des Quatre Pays.

Fabien Santener has lived in Sundgau for many years and, although his fermentation tanks are now well anchored in the local landscape, this young forty-something has not always evolved around the scent of malt and hops. It was in the world of vines that he flourished for many years before turning around. Fabien had been an oenologist for 20 years and worked in various Alsatian vineyards. As his forties approached, he felt the need to change his lifestyle and become his own boss. What's more, in a new area he was increasingly fond of: craft beer making.

The choice of where to live is always a critical moment for every new professional brewer. In the case of Fabien and the Brasserie des quatre Pays, the research was short-lived. Indeed, a friend of Fabien had a 200m2 room to rent in Hirtzbach. It is an old car garage that has been refurbished and now houses the brewery and a landscaper. Note that beer production since 2017 continues to grow, an extension of the building is already scheduled for 2021.
