75 cl bottle (from an IP trade with richiesd) @ home, shared with MarcodL, caesar & borresteijn. Pitch black color. Beige head. Aroma’s of bourbon, sweet, treacle, molasses, vanilla, with additionally some red fruit retronasal. Flavor is sweet. Strong in alcohol, rather full bodied. Long lingering finish.

Bottle thanks to Potjebier, medium sample. Dark color, medium fizzy head. Aroma of roast and coffee together with copious amounts of biscuity bourbon, some vanilla, slight booze. In taste quite some sweetness, bit chocolate and coffee, some roasty bitterness. Not as full bodied as some other bourbon aged RIS, but still very tasty.

75cl bottle shared, thanks for tonight’s beers Potje! 2013 version, says 2013 in right lower corner, barrels depicted below Remy instead of next to them, a ABV is 12.3%. Doesn’t say what barrels were used though, just bourbon BA. Black colour, fizzy beige head. Aroma of molasses, toasted coconut, vanilla, bourbon, soy sauce, some roasted malts. Flavour follows, quite sweet, lots of bourbon, toasted coconut, some soy sauce, bittersweet finish, fizzy carbonation. Medium bodied.

Bottle thanks to Gibson. Pours a cloudy brown with medium beige head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is bourbon, vanilla, wood. Medium mouth, candy sugar, toffee, nice bourbon, very nice.

Pitch black and oily, aroma of fudge and chocolate. Tons of chocolate and whiskey. great balance on this one. you can’t really taste the booze which is very impressive.

Bottle. Pours a jet black color with a medium white head. A big, no massive bourbon nose. The flavor is a showcase for Pappy, smooth vanilla, some wood, sugary, no heat. This is damn smooth. Roast, cocoa, some raisin. More awesome Pappy.

750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out smoky whiskey notes, roasted malt and wood - super complex. Flavour follows accordingly, with licorice, chocolate and complex smoky bourbon notes. Super complex and well-balanced, finishing sweet, chocolate and smoky. Excellent.
