330ml bottle from Warners At The Bay. Pours ambery yellow, little head. Strong pine nose, lots of hops and flowers. Good balance between hoppy bitterness and pine sweetness, even though both are clearly on the extreme side. Intense.

330ml bottle into glass. Tangerine nose. Cloudy golden beer with solid two finger head. Many fine bubbles. Spritzy mouthfeel with creamy citric hop finish. Well balanced, delicious.

330ml bottle into weizen glass. Pours with an ENORMOUS white head ( German style) which shows no sign of dissipating. Nose is sweet wheat with slight hops. Cloudy pale amber with a few bubbles tracing up the glass. Mouthfeel is creamy and mild. Nothing really strong in the taste department. Very late hop bitterness at the end. Looks the part but a bit boring.

(Bottle) Hazy golden amber with small thin white head. Pleasant refreshing citrus aroma. Medium body, with plenty of carbonation. Nice flavour that starts refreshing and citrusy, develops some light malty sweetness and then a surprising amount of bitterness in the finish. A little out of the ordinary, refreshing, but somehow not quite balanced.

A subtle black ipa with subtle lemon citrus and burnt toast notes. In the mouth there’s also some nuttiness that I’d associate with a Brown ale. The main criticism is that the palate’s a little thin.

This has a fantastic velvety palate and a melange of grapefruit, passion fruit, apricot, orange peel and light spice. A ripper.

From a 330ml bottle on 30/12.2014. Pours a very dark brown with the barest of heads. Has a pleasant nose featuring lots of roasty notes, along with some toffee and caramel. It’s very complex in the mouth, with oodles of espresso and burnt and roasted malt most prominent. But there’s also lots of sweet and spicy nuance to be found. The roasty bitterness ultimately hold sway over the milk chocolate, fudge and caramel sweetness, but it remains very nicely balanced. The body is quite light for an impy with the carbonation average. Very nice indeed.

(Bottle) Very black with a small tan head. Pleasant but quite restrained aroma - coffee, hints of chocolate, toffee, toast and raisins. Fantastic mouthfeel - full bodied, syrupy, sticky with velvety carbonation with a small prickly hint of brightness to it. Great taste - rich and complex. There’s a nice balance between toffee sweetness and complex bitterness with hints of black coffee, burnt toast and hops. Very impressive.

Just what you’d expect from a good BIPA. Roasted malt and coffee blended with a magnificent hop aroma. Not sure what hops - galaxy? The palate is solid and the roasted coffee flavour is prominent in the mouth. Lovely.
