500 ml bottle from Hops & Bottles. Near black pour, thin silky beige head. Rich, chocolaty aroma. Taste is more chocolate. The cocoa nibs dominate, the vanilla lends some supporting sweetness. Smooth, sweet, rich and no sign of the 11% ABV.

12oz can from Boise Co-op. Murky golden amber pour, off-white foamy head. Aroma is a balanced blend of malt and hops. Taste favors the hops with an up front bitterness and some sweet maltiness coming in behind.

On Tap at the Boise brewery/Taproom Foggy orange/apricot colored pour. Thin fleeting wispy off-white head. Lots of tart orange and light berry aromas and flavors. Modest tartness, and good lingering “realistic” orange notes. Late slightly biscuity bready hint. Pretty good. Not very sour.

On Tap light haze on this very light brown pour. Dense soapy light beige head. Faint subtle toasted lasts, a little sour tinge and a smooth soft palate. I was hoping for a bit drier and crispr Marzen/seasonal. Just OK
