Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a black color with an enormous foamy tan head that lingered forever and left incredible lacing. The aroma was bitter and dry with anise and pine. The flavor was dry, bitter and roasty with strong anise and pine. Long finish. Medium body. Blah.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a dark nut brown color with orange highlights and a huge foamy orange-tan head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was faintly malty with hints of vague fruit and caramel. The flavor was bitter, astringent and medicinal with undertones of yeast and caramel. Long bitter and astringent finish. Medium body. Disappointing.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a dark golden color with a huge creamy yellow-white head that lingered and left incredible lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy with fruity and citric hops. The flavor was buttery, tangy and had a moderate fruity hop presence. Long buttery finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth. Meh.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a toffee color with a huge creamy orange-white head that left incredible lacing. The aroma was tart and bitter with lemon and cactus notes. The flavor was tart and bitter with lemon and cactus. Very long finish. Medium body. Ok.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured an almost black color with orange highlights and a medium sized creamy tan head that left great lacing. The aroma was malty, woody and nutty with undertones of bread crust and caramel. The flavor was nutty and woody with notes of cola, molasses and a hint of caramel. Medium length finish. Medium body. Decent.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a black color with a large creamy brown head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was dry and roasty with coffee and a hint of smoke. The flavor was dry, roasty and bitter with coffee, light floral hops and a hint of smoke. Very long finish. Medium body. Too dry and smokey for me but well made.
