Description
ShuBrew was opened in 2013 by Zachary and Erika Shumaker as a restaurant and brewery on Main Street in downtown Zelienople, PA. Their vision was to offer the community a selection of beers that they themselves love and food that would elevate the brewery experience. Our then chef and now partner, Patrick Wyman, took the menu to a new level and brought a from-scratch kitchen and cuisines from all over the world to our small town. Today Isaiah Yohn and Chris Taylor run our kitchen like a well-oiled machine and partnering with local purveyors, suppliers, and farmers daily, enabling seasonal menu changes and food designed to pair perfectly with a pint.
In 2016 the brewery moved to nearby Harmony, PA and while we don’t brew on-site anymore, we still have beer vibes permeating MainStreet.
In 2019, we became the first Butler county restaurant to earn a platinum designation from Sustainable Pittsburgh. We are doing our part to build a vibrant community and support environmentally responsible practices while giving customers a fun, friendly environment to eat, drink, and be merry!
We do take reservations and are on the Yelp waitlist for Android and iPhone. We also offer an intimate party room that can be rented for private functions; business related or personal.
Not into beer? Check out our wonderful selection of signature cocktails made with local spirits, local PA wine, and cider.

Oh, yea, on tap at JR’s thanks to the new PA-LCB beer laws. I don’t like IPA but I have found a little tartness on an IPA makes it quite palatable. Tartness persuades me to come on over. Quite acceptable fer sure, I may even like this. Color is light brownish yellow. Although you’d probably not put this in the sour red brown style, it is not really an IPA either. Not bad, good collaboration brew, thanks!

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy dark brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was strong and fairly sweet with roasty malts, wood, cocoa and coffee. The flavor was bitter, roasty and woody with vanilla and coffee notes. Long finish. Medium bodied and creamy. Meh.

Tap @ source. Stronger raspberry fruit volatile aroma. Taste is heavy raspberry backbone. Big & bold with personality. Brownish with a maroon hue. Some co2 compliments this brew. Not bad for a heavy 7% brew. Alky is there but its not in yer face. Interesting & unique, glad to have had a chance to taste it.

Cloudy with a mild aroma of attractive female BO, yeah! Grapefruit green rinds abound on the first taste. Whew, totally on style fresh IPA. Mauling bitter hops ruin my taste buds. I don’t care for IPA but if you do, check this out. Ruff rude rototilling and terribly on style. Leaves a long bitter finish in yer mouth for a half hour.
