On tap at the source. It pours a clear pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma isn’t real strong with the fruit. Some minor notes of guava and white bread. Maybe a hint of passionfruit. Very subtle. The flavor is much fruitier with big time guava and lighter notes of passionfruit and mango. A little sweet and extract-like. There’s a little hint of herbal bitterness in the finish. I’m digging the pale malt base and light, semi-creamy mouthfeel, but the fruit comes across a little artificial. Just ok.

On tap at the source. It pours a clear pale yellow color with a small white head. The aroma has subtle notes of apple, pear, pale malts and a hint of noble hop. The flavor is more bitter than expected with earthy hops and pale grains. Hints of pear and white grape. Hints of light tartness on the palate. I was expecting more Nelson-like aroma, so it’s weird that it came off earthy and noble. Huh. The finish is very earthy and bitter. Not too shabby.

On tap at the source. It pours a clear pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma is strong with lemon, piss, and grapefruit rinds in your face. Super citrusy with the rind, pith and flesh all up front. Pretty clean. The flavor has more of the same. Fresh, strong grapefruit pith and pale malts. It’s a little sweet and creamy on the palate, but clean. The carbonation is a tad low, but overall pretty well done. I didn’t really get much Nelson character other than the pissy aroma.
