Capped 750 from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours dark brown with a decent tan head. Aroma of malt and musty wood. Approaching full bodied. Flavor is brown sugar, malt, musty wood, but not, I think, very smoky if at all. The malt and wood make a tasty combo, and I just nosed a bottle of single malt scotch that wasn't peaty - that whiskey aroma is in this stuff. Not all that sweet, not bitter. Just a good drink!

Can from Corti Bros. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Aroma has almost anything that could be imagined. Citrus, pine, white berry and a touch of garlic and more. Med plus body. Flavor is juicy, heavily tropical with a lot of citrus. How about passion fruit? Still a hint of garlic. Dry despite being juicy. Bitter. Very hoppy, but not at all harsh. Quite a taste experience.

Can from Corti Bros. Can merely states IPA. Pours translucent gold with a foamy white head. Aroma of pale prunus fruits and citrus/pine with slightly roasty malt. Med body or better. Flavor finish is kind of resin, but before that it suggests a little juiciness, tho it's dry, and hoppy bitterness. Citrus thruout. Updated old school? Tastes good.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours brassy gold with a creamy white head. Aroma has little breadiness and a hint of nobility. Med body. Flavor has some pale malt, some breadiness and a hop that's particularly impactive with spice on the tongue rear sides. Crisp; clean; dry; bitter. Nice hop level for the style.

Capped 750 from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours dark brown with a somewhat fizzy beige head. Aroma starts with rum and mildly musty wood followed by medium roasty malt - like so many German medium dark beers. Nice bit of heat to go with the rum. Rum is only lightly spicy, if that. Quite nice

Capped 750 from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma of roasty malt and bourbon. Approaching full bodied. Flavor is very bourbon, has dark roasty malt and some wood that's a bit old/musty. Not dry, but drier than expected. Heat is present, but not bothersome. Somehow the whole combination generates moderate bitterness (heat helping). Good brew.
