Tap at Flaming Grill in West Sacramento, CA. Pours like cask - hazy dark gold with a foamy off-white head. Fruity - stone fruit - aroma. Med body plus a little. Flavor is pale stone fruit, mixed, and there’s a interesting spicy note as the fruit drains away. Mild note. It is juicily undry - but even drier, and it is very nicely bitter. I am liking this one!

Capped 750 from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours bright, dark, ruddy copper with a yellowish beige head. Nice aroma of malt - not just sweet, but with a cool tanginess. Near full bodied. Flavor is nice, somewhat roasty malt, clearly not dry, but there's some hop that balances and makes it seem cooly refreshing, sort of. For me there's a tang to the malt and a tang to the hop - I'm just thinking it's got some Perle cause mint comes to mind. It is a very tasty doppelbock. Seek it out.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours translucent dark gold with a creamy white head. Tropical aroma. Med plus body. It’s a bit earthy/dank, but it’s more tropical. A bit juicily undry, but very hoppy, and bitingly bitter. Really good bitter drink. Like the fruit level.

Tap. Not looking very unfiltered to me. Pours crystal clear golden, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is pleasant trial grapefruit. Flanks is light sweet, light bitter. West coast style and well crafted to that style. Medium body. Not too sweet, not harsh. This beer would have turned heads a decade ago. It still stands out today. Little trace of the ABV makes this one a bit dangerous.
