Description
The Brauhaus Gusswerk is an innovative symbiosis of a beer bar and a brewery, a place for enjoyment, communication and cosiness. The initiator of this unique project is Salzburg's Reinhold Barta, passionate brewer. After more than ten years of organic brewing experience he realized his organic brewery in Salzburg's “Gusswerk” in 2007. Reinhold Barta's goal is to make sustainable and biodynamic beer in Austria socially acceptable. When he saw the plans of the "Gusswerk", he immediately knew: "This is where my brewery belongs." The beer should be drawn from the strength of its origin, of course with purely organic ingredients and old, natural manufacturing processes that reflect the circle of nature.

Bottle, 75cl, at TFODRBSG-12. An almost clear one, golden in color and with a small, dense, off-white head. Fruity nose with a touch of yeast and some sugar. A faint spiced touch too. Sweetish, sugary flavor with lots of fruityness. Quite pleasant actually, although lacking some on complexity. Full body, soft carbonation. Fruity finish with some fruity sourness. A quite pleasant one, refreshing although warming. 120818

Bottle, 50cl ceramic swing-top, at TFODRBSG-12. A minimal sized light beige head forms over an unclear, brown body. Lightly oxidized, roasted aroma with caramel and dried fruits. Some alcohol. It’s lighlty warming on the palate, full-bodied and semi-sweet, with dried fruits, caramel and a little bitterness. Lasting sweetness, yet if feels dry in the end. A quite pleasant one, although a bit unbalanced. 120818

(bottle, 33cl) Dark brown to black colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Mildly roasty malty aroma with a touch of milk chocolate. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dark and mildly roasty malty taste, minimally earthy with notes of chocolate lingering into the mildly sweet and shy roasty bitter finish. Drinkable sweet Stout but nothing special. 12.VI.12
