Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold with a touch of copper and a near white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has an interesting combination of sweet grains, lager yeast and pine hops. Flavor starts with pine but finish is sweet grain and lager yeast.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear copper with a light tan head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a good amount of pine supported by light grains, grass and a hint of onion. Flavor has more of a bitter pine and grass combination with light grains backing.

At Winterfest, 2016. I was not expecting much from this beer, but it was surprisingly solid. Black color. Aroma has chocolate and blueberry, and more chocolate and cocoa power and blue berry in the flavor. Lightly sweet, and the heavy roast on the malt does not cover up the blueberry.

25oz growler pours an opaque black with some cloudy, beige head. Nose has nougat, vanilla, malt, light chocolate, some light coffee. Flavor is all chocolate and malt sweetness, brown sugar, some toffee, vanilla, cola, a little ice cream sundae. Full bodied finish.
