12 fl oz bottle as Green Tea IPA. Pours hazy yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is grapefruity and citrusy. Fruity, peachy, grapefruity and citrusy. Light teaish. Bitter and citrusy.

Tap at the brewery - turbid copper beer, minimal head - flabby body, somewhat watery texture - like many of their other beers, it simply seems muddled and formless - medium sweet, hard to define "malty" character, followed by some earthy and moderately bitter hops, imparting some flavors of grapefruit and light pine - none of the chrysanthemum is noticeable, although it might be caught up in the general bitterness and acidity of the hops - watery finish - meh.

Tap at the brewery - somewhere in between an amber and a brown - a bit thin, with a fairly watery texture - honey is subdued, and imparts more of an earthy character than it does sweetness, which is good - moderate innocuous maltiness, with a touch of nutty character - a slight bitterness and acidity on the tail end - kind of muddled, with nothing really asserting itself - just nutty, malty and mildly sweet - nothing bad, but quite forgettable.

Tap at the brewery - a fairly simple, borderline boring lager - the rice is fairly evident, giving an almost watered-down sake kind of charcter to the beer - a mild honey sweetness and very subtle grainy character - a mild saffron note and some peppery spiciness, especially in the finish - pretty boring, even with the spice addition - oh well.

Turbid gold pour - nose of lemon, lemongrass, wheat, light bready and yeast notes - flavor is medium sweet up front and medium sweet in the finish - notes of lemon, sweetbread, yeast - soft carbonation - light wheaty notes - a touch of peppery hops in the back on the tail end - there is a slight flaw in the form of a light celery/vegetable note on the tail end that fades as it warms - besides that fairly decent.

(Had again atthe brewery today - seemed much more sweet, syrupy - smoke seemed much more like burnt wood - much less enjoyable than I remember) Tap at Denver Bicycle Cafe - black pour, with a this, tan head - nose is very smokey and meaty, with notes of anise, leather, char/wood - fairly creamy mouthfeel - quite sweet, with notes of vanilla and chocolate - balancing flavors of lint smoke and dark malt bitterness - the smoke character tastes more like a phenol than something from the malt - finish is a bit spicy, with bittersweet chocolate - interesting and hearty brew.

Wynkoop Parade of Darks 2011. Darkish brown appearance with a tan head. Pretty mild tangy honey, toasty malty, lightly nutty aroma. The honey is not overdone like many honey beers. Mild to moderate honey, toasty brown malty, light caramel, light nutty flavor. Actually a pretty decent brew.
