Description
Our story originates from the dreams of a German immigrant and his passion for beer. Otto Bemberg, who arrived in our country in 1852, founded the Cervecería Argentina in the city of Quilmes in 1888. After two years, on October 31, 1890, the first chopp was served and from there the iconic beer began to be sold under the Quilmes brand, in honor of the old indigenous name of the town, where this dream materialized. These would be just the first steps of a project that, over time, would become one of the main companies in Argentina. During the years to come, the company grew exponentially, in 1910 it reached 100% beer production.

In 2002 we sealed the strategic association with AmBev and in 2006 we finalized the transfer of our majority shareholding package. We are currently part of AB-InBev, the world's leading brewing company, based in Leuven, Belgium, with a portfolio of more than 200 brands.

Bottle. A- Sweet corn, grains, cereal. A- Golden color, clear liquid, white head. T- Corn, grains, cereal, slightly sweet. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish, O- Just like every other pale lager, but slightly above average. Not quite as watery as most and no metallic taste. For a pale lager, I call that a win.

very pale yellow colour, some minimal head; pffffff...like a sparkling mineral water with some lemon metallic notes and cardboard - disgusting!

Botella de 33 cl en el momento en 15-05-2015. de el c ingles Oviedo. Color rubio amarillo pálido transparente con espuma blanca mas o menos persistente. Aromas ligeros a maltas con ligeros toques cítricos y herbáceos. Cuerpo ligero con 4.9 vol muy fácil de beber con ligera presencia de carbónico. Sabores muy ligeros, maltosos y muy poco amargo. Refrescante y ligera nada mas.

Bottle, 0.355l. Clear straw color with large frothy white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma is grainy, grassy, dusty and yeasty. Taste starts with light sweet grainy maltiness, following is slightly vinous, mouthfeel soon becomes spicy, while finish is light bitter. Light body, thin texture and fizzy carbonation in palate. Argentina’s famous dog piss??? And I know my rating is very generous, but I liked the aroma...

355 ml can from Niku no Hanamasa @ Toritsu Daigaku. First time for me to try a beer from Argentina. Pours pale, with artificial-looking white foam that dissipates within a minute. Aroma is usual "Asian lager"-style - a bit sweet, not appetising at all. I try to gulp it… and it goes down like a faintly barley flavoured sparkling water. Has a bit of sweetish, not so pleasant malt presence and almost no hops to talk about. Usual mass produced cheap industrial lager - and not at its best.
