Tap. Pours opaque black, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is light, bourbon. Flavor is essentially wasted down bourbon. No real stout character remains. Medium body, a bit watery. Disappointment.

Tap. Definitely and old school beer. Pours clear amber orange, medium off white head, decent lacing. Aroma is caramel, pine, grapefruit. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter. Medium body. Really should be a red ipa by today's standards.

Draft: Poured a dark black with a light brown head. Aroma is fudge, chocolate, light spice, roast malts. Taste is more fudge chocolate, spice habanero breaks up the roasted malts, gives it a kick.

Draft at brewery. Dark amber/brown, wispy head. Dark toasty malty aroma, leather. Taste is deep malts, mildly sweet, tobacco and a latent hoppy sting. Very old school DIPA.

Draft at Maker’s Craft Brewery. Poured a very clear, dark golden yellow. Aroma was pleasant juice, some resin. Flavor was grassy, with some cereal grain, sweet grassy finish.
