12oz can from the brewery a clear gold with a finger of white head. Gristy nose, grain, corn, dried grass. Light lemony hop. Flavor is a bit basic. Essentially well done fizzy yellow beer. Off dry, lightly peppery on the finish which helps.

Looks the part. Sample at the roost pours a translucent brown-black with some cloudy khaki head. Nose has malt, roasted nuts, brown bread, brown sugar. Flavors follow. Earthy with some coffee grounds too. Medium bodied and dry. Well made.

Can pour, dark amber brown color. Light brown bread aroma. Nice malty flavor with notes of brown bread, caramel and a hint a of bourbon.
