“Hohenfelder Pilsener“, Flasche (50 cl) von Grabsch, Berlin-Lichterfelde. - Goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase die übliche, ein wenig schroffe zitronige Herbe. - Antrunk schlank und etwas stumpf hellmalzig mit leicht rauher, stumpfer Zitronenschale und krautiger Hopfenherbe. Milder rezent, recht trocken, kalkig. Im Abgang unkrautartige Bittere. - Gut herb aber etwas zu stumpf und derb um zu gefallen.

(bottle, 33cl) Slightly hazy, greenish golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Slightly earthy malty aroma with subtle notes of honey, backed by mildly grassy and herbal hops. Mildly bitter and delicately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dry malt character with earthy notes, accompanied by grassy and herbal hops, leading into a dry and moderately bitter hoppy finish with delicately mineralic accents. True to the style – Okay. 05.II.18

Fläschken:Golden, lively carbonation, stable medium-sized white head; dry hayish-grassy nose, at least traces of pale-malt detectable; moderate dry bitter-sweet flavour, smooth, even a malty base is detectable, light to medium bodied; dry - again - herbal-grassy finish supported by a certain amount of balancing malt. Nice surprise, really better than expected...

Bottle. Light orange with a big foamy head. Aroma of yeast, some clove and citrus fruits. Taste is yeast, wheat, grains, a little bit of banana and lemons. Aftertaste is somewhat bitter and unpleasantly artificial. Medium to strong carbonation. Rather thin and watery for a Weizen. Slender but not satisying.

bottle, kindly donated by pivnizub. Clear brown with a rather tall, fluffy beige head. Roasty aroma. Really light-bodied, shy malty background with some doasty, chocolatey flavours, some coffee. Shy bitter hops tune in and lead to a dry finish. Light and mild, but still quite nice.
