Description
At Bitburger, the pure pleasure of Pilsner-style beer has a long family tradition. Since the founding of our brewery in 1817, we have dedicated ourselves fully to the quality and taste of our products. Today, seven generations and almost 200 years later, Bitburger is still in family hands – but the small business of two centuries ago has become one of the biggest breweries in Germany, and the number one player in the draught beer market. We owe the success of our company first and foremost to our employees, who bring real passion to their work for the company. For us, a sense of social responsibility is simply part of what we do. Bitburger also supports many charitable and community projects, and promotes cultural and sporting events.

12 oz bottle; very little nosemaybe a slight hint of malt; pale gold with a medium white head; flavor a mix of graininess and a slight hop presence. OK if it has to be NA beer.

Bottle. Not poured into a glass... arg, the decadence. Flavors are fairly grassy with a bit of a cloves/pepper like quality to the hops presence. Grains come across as slightly bready, and flavor is infinitely better to what passes for a pils here in the States.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a poisonous, hazy, lime green with a greenish head. Synthetic, perfumy fruit aroma. Light body with very sweet notes of exotic fruit. Very subdued bitterness. No particular pleasure. 310807

Medium offwhite shiny head. Yellow body with carbonation. Harmonic aroma of straw with grain and metal notes. Dry straw and caramel taste with a chalky background. Dry metallic acidic aftertaste. Quite good except for the aftertaste. (0.33l bottle from a delikatesy in Krakow.

Re-rate 3/2/10: Bottle sample during a Beer-D Parliament meeting. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is quite grainy with some malt and light grassy hoppiness. Sweetish flavor with some graininess and bread notes at first, continues on to a bitter finish with grass and light metallic hints. Light to medium body. Nothing more than a mediocre Pils but still quite drinkable. 4/3/5/3/10=2.5
Draught. Golden with a white head. Hoppy aroma. Sweet malt in the flavor and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. 5/3/5/3/10=2.6

Bottled(330ml). –Unnatural murky greenish yellow colour with nuclear pale green head. Grapefruit and some hint of lemon in the nose. Very fruity taste, pleasant citrusy and something sweet (cachaça maybe) with a surprising flavor of real beer. Quite refreshing.

Bottle: Poured a deep yellow with a green hazy tint, the head is greenish white and froathy. Aroma is a lime/grape fruit. The taste starts off with the citrus fruit but returns to a corny malt finish. I actually like this more than most the other bitburger creations.

Bottle, 3.4%. Grapefruit aroma. Cloudy yellow/green colour. Plasticky neon-green head. The flavour starts off quite sweet with grapefruit bitterness. OK balanced, not as sweet as the worst Radlers and almost drinkable. Low to medium carbonation.
