Cloudy blond color, small head. Mild aroma, a bit lemony and grassy. It has some honey flavor, with no bitterness, and a light honey character.
Similar to a lemon and honey tea, not too bad.

Bottle from a shop in Port en Bessin, Normandy. Pours sort of orange amber with a creamy beige head. Aroma is sort of citrus with a hint of sour. Med body. Flavor is somewhat earthy, there’s a citrus sort of burn, and hop is perhaps earthy. I’d say it fits in bier de garde category without too much of a stretch. It’s certainly not what I’d expect from "Ambree". Like some other of the Northmaen beers the label doesn’t necessarily coincide with the style. Pleasantly surprised this time.

Bottle from a shop in Port en Bessin, Normandy. Pours light cola with a 3 finger creamy beige head. Aroma is coffee/anise/raisin. Near med body. Flavor is quite earthy. Suggests chocolate barnyard in a way. The coffee/anise seems to be somewhat accompanied by cacao. It’s dryish and dusty. In addition to earthy. Heat not really detectable except in the throat. Not spectacular, but certainly interesting.

Muddy brown body with a creamy off-white head. Surprising hoppy aroma with some liquor, malts. - warming and quite ok. Heavily bitter, soapy flavour. Totall out of balance.

Bottle 330ml.Unclear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is light malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, spicy, coriander, citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a average to long duration, sweet yeast - fruit, spicy sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120623]
