Bottle at home, darker amber brown beer, small head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, malt, raisins, spices, honey. Taste is the same, sweet, malt, caramel, spices, yeast, fruit, raisins. Boozy finish. Nice

330ml bottle from La Case, Caen. Pours a dark brown, off-white head. Aroma of deep caramel, spice, honey. Taste is bitter orange barley wine territory, some spice, fairly sweet, some figs. Decent.

Hard to find all that is described on the label, namely liquorice, coriander, honey and bitter orange. Nevertheless a nicely balanced and tasty beer. Don’t be afraid of the ABV, you really do not feel it.

Spicy, bittersweet, warming. Yes on the licorice, but it adds nicely. Not bad!

Bottle, purchased at La Cave a Bulles, and carried home for a tasting. Great complex aroma. Leather, cardamom, and light spice. Dry malt flavor with an herbal finish. Heavily carbonated, this was a huge gusher. Considerable amount of sediment in this beer.

Hmm. Pen aroma, men veldig sær, og smaker så. Noe vegetalt. Veldig sær, men ikke noe vikingøl.

Bottle at the DISOB tasting, Den Haag. Poured a murky brown colour with a frothy off-white head. The aroma is malty with citrus fruit, The flavour is strong bitter and alcoholic, yeasty and with a little sourness on the palate.
