Bottle to English pint glass.
Appearance: dark burnt orange almost amber color with a one and a half fingers of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: light pine resin, some lemon hops, smooth clean biscuity malts - some toffee, earthy to herbal character
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas together to a malty bitter quality
Texture: light to medium bodied - maybe a touch closer to light bodied, sessionable, fairly smooth along the tongue with that normal English styled malty bitter tone
Overall: I say a pretty nicely done English pale ale worthy to have again - pass the fish n' chips for this.

Bottle to snifter.
Appearance: black in color with a quickly dissipating off-white foamy head which didn't leave any lace
Aroma: sweet woody/bourbon notes, light vanilla, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, coffee roastiness, coffee sweetness and a touch of caramel
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a sturdy sweet tone underscored by a subtle woody spice; finishes sweet chocolatey with the barrel notes
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper, light smoothness but also some barrel spicy edges nipping at the tongue
Overall: I thought it was already aged quite a bit though I didn't have a date on the bottle but I could have aged this a bit longer, still an impressionable beer enough to return to.

Can pour at the DCBeer December 2025 share. Poured a dark amber color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was big bourbon, vanilla. Smooth, enjoyable.

Black with nice brown head. Bourbon, coffee, chocolate malt, and fresh hay aroma. Moderately sweet bourbon, coffee, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Body on the light side for the style.

Bottle shared at tasting. Dark red to red-brown color, small beige to light brown colored head. Aroma is malts, quite sweet, something odd I can't put my finger on. Flavor is malts, sweetness a bit, bitterness a bit, soft caramel notes. Very solid. 8-6,5-8-8-7,5

Fles uit de "Vault" van Addicted2Craftbeer, geprobeerd met Benzai, Keukeman en Roelzie. Het is een troebel donkerbruin bier. Het heeft een aroma van mout en rozijnen. De smaak is vol fruitig en rozijnen achtig.

12 ounce bottle from Trenton Road Takeout. Opaque dark brown pour. Small tan head settles to a small cap. Mild roasted malt aroma hints at coffee and treacle. Flavor is dark malt, prunes, black currants. A bit of stickiness in middle. Notes of dark chocolate and molasses on backend.

Bottle shared at "ZZT nieuw leven in blazen"-tasting. Opaque black color with a dark brown colored head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, bourbon, espresso. Flavor is malts, dark malts, bourbon, heavy espresso roast and a pleasant chocolate note. Awesome. Absolutely delicious. Dear lord, a 2017 bottle. Amazing. Held up great. Delicious.
