About
Macks Ølbryggeri is the northernmost brewery in the world. The brewery was founded in 1877 by Ludwig Markus Mack. Mack is the fourth largest brewery in Norway, and is probably one of the strongest brands from Northern Norway. Our main production is located in Nordkjosbotn, approximately 70 km from Tromsø. Mack's historical sites in Tromsø houses our administration, the beer shop Kjeller 5, our legendary pub Ølhallen and Mack Microbrewery.

170ml draught at Ølhallen. Low pinkish head, poor lacing, clear reddish body. Modest smell of berry skins, mid-sweet. Mid-dry blueberry flavours, subdued tartness to it. Drying end, semi-tart and sweet. Easy going, (Tromsø, 09.05.2023).

170ml draught at Ølhallen. I also had two bottles earlier during askespredning av Marcus on Brim 14/4. Our friend Marcus' last beer recipe. A bubbly beige head, near-clear dark brownish body with a ruby shade, clingy lacing. Slightly roasted brown malty nose. Blended taste of brown malts, herbal hops, and a bite of bread. Nicely, mild roasted end, mid-sweet. Pretty good. Remembering Marcus. (Tromsø, 09.05.2023).

170ml draught at Ølhallen. Pale golden body with a haze of wheat, covering white head, clingy lacing. Moderate smell of grass and wheat. Quite well balanced taste of spiced fruity wheat. Drying close with a spicy touch. Fair enough. (Tromsø, 09.05.2023).

Pilsner with a fruit. I have slaughtered other. But this one felt quite ok. 7 up feeling ish. Mild ok yuzu feeling in the back with some malty notes Fair enough Mack [Can from a local Coop Prix in Halden, Norway]
