Keg at Beer Museum in Prague Day 5 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 3/10/14. Hazed golden / yellow coloured pour with a steadfast creamy white head. Aroma is yeasty, earthy straw, pils grains, subdued on the nose. Flavour is composed of earthy grains, straw, semi-sweet, nutty grains. Palate is creamy, medium body, lowish carbonation. Nice unfiltered nothing special.

Bottle. Aroma malty, kind of dark fruits, caramel. Clear amber colour. Taste is again mostly malty, caramel, dark fruits, alcohol lightly poking out. Quite good, even though the rough grainy malt flavour annoys me.

Bottle kindly shared by Roman, many thanks. brown color with medium off-white head. Sweet malt, candies, red fruits in aroma. Sweet malt, candies, sugar, alcohol in taste.

Tap at Richtar Jakub. Amber color with medium white head. Bready aroma with rye, wet mop. Sweet malty taste, glue, bready notes, light bitterness in finish.

Draught @ Pivovarsky Klub (unfiltered). Pours golden with a white head. A beer dominated by a flowery hop profile. Refreshingly bitter. Well balanced.

2019, on tap at the brewery. Ever so slightly hazy golden body with a lasting off white head. Fresh aroma, well developed herbal hoppiness over some malty, even lightly caramelly notes. Lovely taste, herbal and slightly citric hoppiness, superb, smooth body, ends with a dry, nice grainy finish, very much moreish. An excellent 12°! 2014, on tap at Prague Beer Museum. After one friendly waitress got us a couple of beers, another, quite less so, took the order for a sampler and then didn’t bother to tell us what was what. Luckily, it wasn’t hard to guess. Anyway, this poured a murky shinier yellow body. Sharp perfumey creamy aroma, herbal, and not in a very good way. Sweetish polleny lager, with notes of wet cardboard, ending dry. Just a shade less bitter than expected, but there’s a passable herbal hoppy note. Well... hm. I like it and I didn’t. Maybe it wasn’t in the best of shapes - it was interesting, with some pros, but some cons that make some of these high grades look weird. Oh well. Bit sad I have to go against the grain here, but I really do. 5/3/6/3/12

Aroma : Yeasty, light sweet, very light hops.
Appearance : Hazy, light golden color. Medium white head.
Taste : Medium sweet, medium bitter, yeasty.
Palate : Medium body. Long hoppy bitter finish.
Overall : Tasty, nice finish.
