Tap at RJ. Aroma a bit mild, but nice. Coffee, caramel, nicely roasted. Clear dark brown colour, stable off-white head. Taste is cofeeish, roasted malts. Light caramel. Nice bitter balance. A bit thin body, but not disturbingly so. Full of flavour. Very easily drinkable. Perfect session tmavy.

Decanted from a big old plastic bottle, thanks to Bruce on his home ground, 16/01/14. Hazed golden with a moderate white swirl that clears to the edge. Nose is malty, bread dough, sweet notes, light grass. Taste comprises hay, light caramel, soft bread dough, bitter twang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, grassy bitterness in the drying closure. Solid Czech pils, nice easy drinker.

Large PET bottle thanks to Bruce. It pours hazy golden-yellow with a small white head. The nose is doughy, buttered toast, grass, straw and white bread. The taste is crisp, grassy, straw, peppery, good bitterness, straw and mild astringency with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Crisp and pretty drinkable. Alright but doesn’t excite me.

Plastic bottle shared in London - big thanks to Bruce. Pours lightly hazy gold with a creamy white head. Biscuity pale bread in the nose, straw, cereal. Light to medium sweet flavor with lovely, pale bread nose, mellow bitter hay, cereal grains. Lit bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Nice balance to finish, plenty of crisp cereal, biscuits, low bitterness. Good stuff.

draught at Kulovy Blesk. Hazy pale golden colour, creamy and stable white head, leaving lacework. Lovely and very alluring hop aroma. Shy but good malty flavours, light- and elegant, supporting the Saaz hops very well. Bitter-sweet, with a nice fruity twist from the yeast. As expected: superb!

Tap at RJ. Aroma rich caramel malty with hints of roasted malt. Deep brownish amber colour. Huge stable head. Taste is mostly malty in flavour with decent balancing bitterness, only partly from hops. Moderate to strong caramel flavour with light roasted coffee in background. Very nice beer, easily drinkable. Warm finish with notes of grassy hops. Hops progressively appears in the mid taste also.

From tap at Nota Bene in Prague. Dark golden, unclear with large white head. Not much aroma, but.that could be blamed on the glass. Low carbonation. Wonderful, hoppy taste. An absolutely superb pilsner.
