Draught @ Vratnice Craft Beers, Prague. Pours clear dark amber with an offwhite head, light lacings. Aroma of malt, light caramel, sweet fruit hops, some strawberry, Flavor is sweet, rather bitter, malty, caramel, fruity hops, alcohol. Medium to full body, average carbonation, sweet and rather bitter finish. 190419

Bottle 0.75l. Lightly cloudy, deep gold colored. AROMA- flowery, malty, noble hops, touch of citrus, apple, pear. FLAVOR- slightly sweet, moderately bitter, noble hops, flowery, a bit fruity- apple, apricot, herbal, malt. Medium bodied.

Tap at Ostry. Above average price, but considering the style and the fact that it's 0.5l only here, er, nothing to moan too much about. Darker misty abmer body, laaaasting beige head. Huh, slightly lame aroma though, fresh, but showing just clan maltiness and vague fruity notes. Heavy body, smooth as hell, apricot, peach, sweetish maltiness, light glue at times, fresh but too full before getting into a bitter finish. A classic Czech-style IPA on steroid, which isn't necessarily a good thing. As time passes, it gets nicer, the smoothness of the body pairs well with the peach/apricot hoppiness, but... huh, too big for its own good.

Tap at První Pivní Tramway. Ruby-brown, thick off-white head. Sweetish, pleasant aroma, coffee, mild roast, very light raisins. Taste... Soft, bit yeasty, raisins, mild coffee, sweetish but not cloying. Okay dunkel. Shame the taste doesn't follow the aroma.

Tap at volvox globator. Hazy amber-golden body, off white head, lasting. Smooth maltiness, flowery hops, smells quite nice. Hop-driven herbal and flowery taste on clean, relatively full maltiness, mild fruity touches. Excellent really.

Bottle 0.75l from our archive, aged over two years. Dark brown to black, opaque. AROMA- roasted malts, nuts, nougat, very pleasant alcohol, touch of coffee and sour cherries. FLAVOR- smooth and strong, neutral to dry, slightly sour and bitter, a bit warming, chocolate, nougat, pralines, liquer, touch of sour cherries. Fuller to full bodied.
