Lahev číslo 38 z 1918 (s patentním uzavěrem, díky tisíckrát do Černých Neratovíc!!!): Deep, deep ruby-amber coloured, presumably hazy (nefiltrovaný!), medium-sized loose off-white head, that quite quickly collapses, quite complex sourish-sweetish aroma of dried fruits, wood, leather and tobacco and - last but not least - toasted malt; moderate to solid sourish-sweetish flavour, medium to full bodied, neither fizzy nor soft; lingering sourish-sweetish fruity and woody-toasty finish, some warming alcohol and a certain tart bitterness in the aftertaste. Čistá radost...

Edit 2/2023. Bottle brewed still in the Pardubice brewery. Fruity, licorice, toffee, prunes, molasses aroma. Opaque dark brown body, tany head. Dried fruits, celar, molasses, black currant, full body, alcohol warmth. Very good baltic porter. 0,5 l, bottle, supermarket, Pilsen (Bohemia, CZ). # 180; 12/2015. Silný porter. Chuť nakyslá, kávová, nepříjemně se projevuje příchuť i vůně sojové omáčky. 5-4-6-3-12=*3,0.

Drank it in november in a beachpub in Noordwijk. Sweet, roasted malt, fruity. Very full bodied. Bittersweet finish. Still very drinkable in spite of its alcohol content. Re-rate: caramelaroma. Roasted malt flavor. Sweet, malty and caramelly with a hint of butter. Some hopbitterness, especially in the aftertaste. Lovely beer.
