Description
In 2011 we opened our local microbrewery in a former music club in Jihlava. Where DJs were in charge, we now had beer tanks, fermenters, brewhouse and we started our own ride.
Already in 2012, we with the semi-dark Sigismund placed third in the spring brewer price. A year later - 2013 - we were the third best microbrewery of the year and a year later we were the best microbrewery ever in the Czech Republic. And we also won the spring prize of Czech breweries with our wheat beer.
Time went by and the capacity of the cellars slowly ceased to be sufficient. At the same time, we thought of a new brand that we named MadCat. And then we were impressed by the building of a dilapidated distillery from 1912 in Kamenice near Jihlava. We decided to save the building and restore the craft production. Reconstruction of the distillery began in 2017 and next summer we brewed the first batch of MadCat beer in a brewery with a capacity of 2,000 liters.
Our new MadCat lager won first place at the spring prize of Czech breweries 2018! And the ride continues - MadCat is already in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Italy.

(tap 0,3l @ OP (Brno)) as MadCat Pumpkin ale. Overall: Nice pumpkin pie spicy. Aroma: Sweet, pumpkin, spicy. Appearance: Clear dark golden. Medium white head. Taste: Medium sweet, pumpkin, spicy, medium bitter. Palate: Medium body. Bitter finish. Earlier Rating: 10/27/2013 Total Score: 3.6 --to RateBeer: where is my detail score for this earlier rating??? If you merge rating, keep all info...-- (tap 0,5l @ OP (Brno)) as Radniční Pumpkin ale. Spicy, clove aroma. Light hazy amber color. Off-white head. Light sweet, strong spicy, clove taste. Medium body. Very dry finish. Fulfills the assumptions of pumpkin beer. Strong aroma and flavor.

0,3l from tap @ Clock-Block. Big, creamy, good retention head. Deep gold to amber light hazy colour. Rich malty, caramel, herbal, spicy, ginger, coriander aroma. Taste is medium malty base, herbal-spicy, pumpkin, ginger bread, medium carbonation, quite nice balanced beer, enjoyed.

(bottle 0,75l) Overall: Ok flavoured sweet-sour ale. Aroma: Sweet, ligth berry-fruity (maybe sweet gooseberries). Appearance: Hazy, very light yellow color. Long lasting white head. Taste: Medium sour, medium sweet, sweet berries, lime, light funky. Palate: Light-medium body. Long sourish finish.
