(330ml bottle from La Mise en Bière, Lausanne) Pours slightly hazy deep orange-gold with a smallish white head lingering with lace. Aroma fruity and floral hops, with orange, grapefruit and lemon all present, as is sweet nectarine. Also some fresh pine needle and perfumed flowers. Bit of slightly sweet and bready malt. Palate is rather more dull. Softly sweet caramel at first, some orange and lemon zest, grassy and floral, with the grass and herbal notes taking over. Finish is dry, herbal, bit earthy, Munich malt, moderately bitter. Average mouthfeel and carbonation. The nose is lovely on this beer, but seems like the extraction of hop character as flavour is poor. Maybe needed more whirlpool hops or something.

(330ml bottle from Drinks of the World, Geneva) Gusher. Pours murky pale copper with a huge dense cream cap that lingers with sheets of lace. Aroma has sweet caramel and bready malt, golden raisin, candied orange, light hop bittering. Palate drier than nose, Munich malt, caramel touches, some hop bitterness and grain on the astringent, bone dry finish and aftertaste. Maybe a touch of orange but otherwise no fruit. Medium body, light carb. Rather one dimensional and boring. Maybe not so fresh.

(330ml bottle from Drinks of the World, Geneva) Gusher. Pours hazy dark gold with a huge pillowy whitish head that lingers. Aroma not too strong, spicy rye character, lemon oil, fresh pine, some other citrus, slightly bready malt, lightly sweet. Palate lightly sweet and moderately bitter, lots of peppery rye, lemon oil again, pine, a bit herbal, slight grain and soap. Quite dry and bitter finish, peppery and rather resinous hops linger. Light body, light but prickly carb. Maybe not as fresh as it could be, rye character is nice, the overall impression is an okay IPA but not one that really shines.

Hazy golden-yellow color with white head. Spicy Wit aroma with sweet fruity hops, peaches, maybe berries. Hints of booze already detectable. Taste is sweet fruits, very fruity, finish is a bit spicy and peppery. A little bit banana feeling from a Weizen. Finish is a bit boozy, but also spicy-peppery yeasts, refreshing overall. Silky mouthfeel. Nice, but a little bit too boozy. Like a mixture between Weizen, Wit and Pale Ale.

On tap at Hako anniversary. Fruity smell, I like. Citric, too. Not an outstanding IPA, but definitely a good one!

Orange color with small head. Aroma is shy, a bit sweet hops. Taste is sweet berries, bready malt. Hopping tastes like S&A, with an immense dry bready rye body. Good!

(Bottle, 0.33 l - Januar 2016, at One Pint Pub, 20150622) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had pine, grass, liquorice and burnt malts. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, liquorice, pine, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, burnt and bitter. A good hoppy imperial stout. Balanced.
