Description
Born on the Frontier.

We'd love to hear from you.

Brewmaster Chris Hernstrom, known around town as ‘Chris the Brewer’, comes to #bolobeerco from an equally untamed region – the Pacific Northwest. Having spent many years as a winemaker and the last several years as a brewer at Boneyard Beer Company in Bend, Oregon, Chris is blazing his own trail on the frontier.

That said, we'd love your help.

Draft/Fest. A- Gross, musty. A- Clear color, clear liquid, white head. T- Watery, pond water, stale. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, watery finish. O- By all accounts this should be pretty good considering the high grade of ingredients. THis tasted like they brewed it using algae water from the cow tank. Terrible.

Draft/Fest. A- Weak, mild plum, slightly tart. A- Yellow peach color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Plums, creamy, subtle vomit. P- Light body, creamy texture, flat carbonation, bland finish. O- Not a lot of fruit flavors. Also creamy and flat as if it was a cask and a bit stale. Also had a weird vomit vibe. A bit off I would guess.

On tap at the Hopcat Lincoln. Fairly clear, dark reddish brown with a thin brown head. Aroma has some red fruit, light wheat, and a little funk. Light body. I couldn’t detect any salt in the flavor. There is some lightly refreshing fruit in the mouth but it is pretty mundane. Doesn’t taste much like a Gose but more like a general American sour.
