1.5l PETka from the brewery. Clear golden yellow, large and creamy white head, very dense. Malty nose. Light-bodied yet with a good malty base, Saaz hops with a grassy and slightly resiny character. Well balanced - a classic desítka.

bottle from the brewery shop. Clear golden yellow, large white head. Orangey-lemony aroma, like Dobrá Voda Pomeranč. Quite beery, pleasantly lemony, not too sweet - rather sourish fruity than sweet. Refreshing.

draught at Stará Sladovna in Chodová Planá. Very green colour indeed, white-greenish head. Aroma of hops. Despite the waitress said it was coloured and not flavoured I am coninced there was something in it (kopřivy?). Good malty base, grassy-resiny hops and a sweet herbal touch, a tad sweeter than their other beers. Interesting and really good, despite the frightening green colour.

*** CZECH BEER # 600 *** bottle from Pivni Rozmanitosts stall on Pragues Easter Market on Namesti republiky. Clear golden colour, very Bohemian hop and malt aroma. Medium-bodied, bitter-sweet with a very smooth palate. Lovely old-style Bohemian character. A truly classic Czech lager.

Tontopf, Jena. Bottled. Poured a very dark brown body with an off white head. Sourish raisins in the nose, dust and maltiness. Dusty raisins and figs in the overly light taste before the sourness kicks in. Some dust and metal too. Some nice flavors in here but overall, it’s unfortunately a mess.
