On tap @ brewpub. Slightly hazy, very light yellow appearance that poured a lively white head. Really light pale malty with a touch of mild hops and is pretty reminiscent of a macro light beer. Mild to moderate hop bitterness, light pale malty, light bodied beer. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Not all that great but it was only $2 for a pint and the place was pretty cool so it wasn’t a total wash.

Hazy, dirty blonde pour with spare lacing - initially, the aroma and flavor give the impression of an odd, yogurt-like character - a semi-bacterial character - the chewy yeastiness up front does not help this - some acidity follows, leading me to believe that there is some kind of infection setting in here - after that, the flavor is all overly sweet pale malts, followed by cereal grains and moderately peppery hops - very disappointing considering the quality of their porter.

Tap at the brewpub - dark brown, nearly black pour, with a thick, lasting dark tan head - creamy and medium bodied - robust, dry, roasty - quite a bit of dry cocoa - moderately bitter black malt - coffee - some sweetness develops late to balance - end a tasting much like bittersweet chocolate, with a light touch of smoke - nicely done.
