Draft at 110 Grill Hopkinton. New local brewery excited to get to know. This one is ok. Cloudy orange and large head. Nose is cirrus and pine. Tastes of grapefruit pine resin dough and herbal. Medium oily palate.

Can taster pour at Craft Brew Race, Worcester. Appearance is clear, dark yellow, no discernible sparkle, thin ring of off-white head. Aroma is wheat, milder coriander. Taste is dominant wheat, milder lemon and hint of bubblegum. Palate is medium side of light-to-medium bodied, thin texture, initially soft carbonation with lively kick at the end (like any good marathoner!), finish as taste. Overall, strong flavor. Not complex or terribly unique but a good representative of the style.

Taster pour from can at Craft Brew Race, Worcester. Appearance is opaque, juicy, dark orange-tinged yellow with finger-width foamy off-white head with excellent retention. Aroma is strong sweet citrus orange. Taste is nice juicy orange citrus, mild grapefruit bitterness at end, mild malty background support (white bread). Palate is medium bodied with thick, chewy texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, perhaps the only knock is that it is somewhat one dimensional in its orange citrus flavor, but quite strong and thick and juicy. A winner.

Canned 12/4/17, drunk 2/8/18.
Moderately hazy, peach-bronze-golden. Super frothy, white head shows good retention.
Smells very fruity (yellow, some juicy, light tropical) and lightly floral. Lots of citrus coming through on the end with typical older hop notes of candied orange/marmalade. Completely competent and clean. Smells very soft and nice with light malts adding biscuit and honey.
In the mouth it's thick and sweet with melon and light orange rind. Hops are a touch dirty/old on the end but it's easy to forgive. Carbonation is still ebullient with a soft, malty texture and good dryness. Surprisingly good given how bad the base Hop Load was. May have to try a few more from these guys.

Canned 10/23/17, drunk 2/3/18. Large, white head shows low retention atop a lightly hazy, peachy-gold body. Lime leaf, tangerine, peach and candied orange show plentiful PNW hops, albeit gently-done. Classic cracker and biscuit malts, quite sparse, show some support. Clean. Smells fine, though it is a bit dominated by orange peel, orange tea, marmalade; tons of PNW citrus. In the mouth it has an almost sour, resinous hop edge permeating everything. Bitter, astringent, almost orange skin oil. No sweetness whatsoever. Decent carbonation and a light attempt at balance, yet still too undermalted and/or over attenuated with too much bitterness showing through on the end. Kind of sour, as well.

Crowler thanks to Wally. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head. The aroma is strong roasted malt, hazelnut, chocolate, wood. Medium body, rich malt, roast, cracker, dark chocolate, nice sweetness, dry finish, good.
