Bonn Place Brewing Company opened in July 2016 with a 7 barrel brewhouse. Since opening, they have won multiple Great American Beer Festival awards including a bronze for “Nemo” an English-Style Mild Ale and silver for “Mooey” a Special Bitter.

Taster at Rivertown Taps. Pours an unclear, orange color, with a big, foamy, off-white head. The aroma is orange peel, rye toast, chalk, resin, and coriander. Off-sweet, with a mild, clingy bitterness. Light body, astringent, and thin. Fair.

16 ounce can. Translucent brown color has reddish highlights. Frothy tan head. Sweet, roasted malt aroma hints at caramel and cocoa. Unusual tangy malt flavor. Light bodied. Nearly no bitterness to speak of.

Tap at the beercade Philadelphia PA. A mostly clear pale yellow straw coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is sweet earthy grains, grass. Stale grains. Flavour is composed of semi sweet sweaty grains grass, corn, grassy, little dirty. Palate is semi sweet, grainy, moderate carbonation. Meh.

Opened the season with a commanding 9-2 win over the Pig. Our biggest rival. Shocking win after how tight the summer championship series was. Kind of had a preseason feel to it. Light, bitter, smooth. A wonderful bitter. Need to get to Bonn.

Draught at source: orange gold with white head. Aroma is light funk and general fruitiness. Lightly sour, sweet, earthy, hints of brett. Good.
