Can from Loz's Beer Republic Beer Advent Calendar, don't recall what day it was supposed to be had. Consumed at home Sunday 29th December 2024 We had a Mexican meal tonight cooked by me and Loz. Listening to Tom Robinson on 6Music. Pours black with a light beige head. This is a bit bland, not really giving me any oils vibes, not particularly dry, crisp or anything that I would associate with an IPA regardless of the colour. Not a bad beer but just very little to write home about.

Optisch schwarz wie Öl, in der Nase röstig, Malz, Scgaum passt. Im Trunk schön Kaffee, röstig, kernig, leicht angebrannt, spät bitter, lecker.

Can at BRACT #1. If anything, this beer is a bit more yeasty than I would like, both in aroma and flavour. But that is not a big flaw, rather something I mention in context of their commercial description. Besides the yeast, it is a pretty classic and well balanced dark lager, moderate roast, good balance with mostly coffee, light ashy, but clean, with low astringency. Tasty, quite good.
