Description
The Knoblach inn has been in Schammelsdorf since 1880 and it has been brewing there for about this long. Today Michael Knoblach is the resident master brewer. The Knoblachs are deeply rooted in their homeland and maintain good contact with regional suppliers and farmers. They attach great importance to preserving and actively promoting the diversity of the Bamberg region. For this purpose, the raw materials are, as far as possible, bought exclusively from the region. This not only has the advantage of boosting the domestic economy, but is also reflected in the quality. The ingredients couldn't be fresher.

Unbedingt probieren! (6.5.2021.)

Bottle. Slightly unclear golden color with eggshell head. Aroma is caramel, earthy, some barn, slightly buttery moreishness. Taste is rustic, bready, earthy, grains, a touch butter, and quite some bitterness in the back. Very smooth mouthfeel with super-soft carbonation. Wow, incredible mouthfeel. I miss Franconia in this pandemic..

0.5 l bottle from 'Bierothek', best before June 2021. Clear, deep amber with a medium large, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish, gently floral aroma of grains, straw and light honey. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, quite grassy-spicy and a little floral taste of grains, honey, some straw and traces of lemony hops, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly dry, a little grassy finish. Medium to full body, very smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Pleasant, highly quaffable Lager, very nice.
