Bottle. Clear ruby-amber color with white head. Aroma is rustic malts, earthy, leather, burnt breadcrust. Taste is burnt breadcrust, earthy, rustic barn, but clean at the same time somehow. Mildly bitter finish with burnt sugars. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. About as good as it gets if you are into the rustic kind of Märzen.

Hazy golden. Aroma of much grassy somewhat herbal hops. Taste is rather heavy herbal hop bitterness with a light fresh touch and almost no malty sweetness. Quite easy to drink. Not perfectly balanced because of the hop bitterness. Lighter body.

Clear yellow colour, white creamy foam. Nose of ripe fruit, honey, some banana, bready. Medium sweet, surprisingly bitter hoppy finish. Well balanced. Great Heller Bock.

Bottle. Shiny dark copper, golden foam, fine carbonation. Lovely juicy cookie, spice and roast/smoked malt aroma. Medium full chewy body, very satisfying bite to it, caramel sweetness, dry roast, fine sparkles. Great honey caramel flavor, dark caramel crunch with a broad flowery hop profile to round it up. Full flavored, nourishing yet perfectly balanced and moreish. For sure one of the best Märzen I have had.

Pours a perfectly transparent amber, with about one finger of quite dense, pillowy head, the slightest off-white. Good retention and nice lacing. The aroma showcases soft maltness, but somehow feels quite fresh too. Malty notes are nutty, slightly bready. There's a touch of soapy feel, light herbal/grassy notes and the slightest hint of spiciness. Overall, rather complex and surely well defined. Taste notes follow the aroma, with excellent balance and drinkability, though perhaps a bit less definition. Medium sweet and medium to low bitter, with a clean finish and aftertaste. Light to medium body, light to medium carbonation, resulting in a rather easy, smooth mouthfeel. A very good landbier.

Huppendorfer Bier - Vollbier, Flasche von Logo, Pödeldorf. - Kupfergoldbraun, klar. - In der Nase aromatische, leicht bissige hopfenwürzige Herbe über fein toastigem Malz. - Antrunk warm toastmalzig mit Brotkruste und Paranuß; feine karamellige Süße. Trockene hopfenwürzige Herbe, Anklänge an Aprikosenkonfitüre. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang noch tiefer malzsüß aber nur mild hopfenwürzig herb, dazu störende muffige und metallische Züge. - Solides Frankenlager, das aber nicht an das knackig gehopfte Huppendorfer Pils heranreicht.
