Description
We are a craft beer brewery located in the Pays de Fayence in the Provence, Alps, Cote d'Azur region of France. Gekko Brewing Company was born from a love of good beer, family and friendship.

The Gekko adventure began in 2018 by brewing small batches in a garden shed (covered in geckos!) and in 2020 we moved in to our new premises ready for a full on launch into the world of brewing.

The Gekko team of five is made up of a group of family and friends (Scottish and Polish) with each member bringing their own passion and expertise to the team.

We try to reflect our region's natural beauty through our beers by using the highest quality base ingredients to produce a range of modern and traditional craft beers.

At Gekko we believe that there is a beer for everyone. Our beers range from fresh, light and hoppy pales ales, through characterful and bold IPAs, to Stouts and beyond.

Our mission is to educate about the wonders of craft beer to the uninitiated whilst also satisfying the demands of the ardent craft beer geek for beautifully crafted hop juice!

We love doing tastings and brewery visits with the community showcasing the wide range of flavours and aromas developed by our brewmasters. So come say hi and have a Gekko!

Can from Twisted Crow, Basingstoke. Aroma has resin peeking through stone fruit, spice and dried fruit. Opaque amber. Thick foamy white head. Soft and fruity flava to the fore. A resinous peripheral bitterness. And as per the aroma I'm getting dried fruits - raisins, figs, etc. The finish gets quite sugary. Medium bodied. Slick to creamy. Average prickly carbonation. Long finish, a touch dry. Yummer in the summer (21C and cloudy is preferable to 39C). Hits the spot.

Can from Beers@Moviefun. Hazy amber, thin, off-white head. Aroma of biscuit, almond, frangipane almost, pink grapefruit, orange peel, mango, pine, pomegrenate. Taste has sweetish mango & orange in a biscuity, almondy malt body with a dash of bitter grapefruit juice. PIney, resinous hoppy finish, bitter grapefruity yet sweet malty too, some warming gin-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Pretty decent but misses the 'West Coast' point a bit, leaning more towards a classic, hefty APA.

Can from Beers@Moviefun. Hazy orange, small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of stale orange juice, mango, melon, lime, sweaty cheese, tangerine peel, pine, onion. Taste has sweet ripe mango, orange juice & tangerine, bitter citrus peel & pine over cheesy-yeasty malts. PIney hoppy finish, citrusy & grapefruity, quite bitter. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Decently bitter Hazy with cheesy effect (perhaps by association), this is a very nice introduction to the brewery.

Keg at BD Dalston - Hackney. Pours murky gold with a small, bubbly white head. Medium sweet, quite flinty and oaty, some pale bread, lemon rind, nips of lemongrass and grapefruit. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, ample bready pale malts, oats, lightly chalky hops, lemon rind, a very slight bile note. Very so so.
