French NEDIPA by a brewery I had never heard of before, thanks Craftmember for sharing. Snow white, moussy, medium thick, opening head on a hazy yellow blonde beer with somewhat yellow-greenish tinge. Aroma of sugared lemon juice, passionfruit, minced lemongrass, halfripe mango, oatmeal porridge, yellow kiwi, marijuana, chalk, meringue. Juicy onset, halfripe mango and pepino but primarily passionfruit-like in a more sweet than sour way, lively carb but not too sharp for style (though almost so), smooth body with soft oatmeal porridge edge, doughy malt core drenched in tropical and ‘sultry’ New World hoppiness ranging between mango, passionfruit, yellow kiwi and lemongrass, with a late grassy, bit peppery bitter ‘bite’ which fades out quickly. No hopburn, though, and the alcohol remains perfectly hidden – two technical aspects I tend to associate with a well-brewed NEDIPA and worthy of an extra point compared with many others. Nothing outstanding happening here, just a proof that France has (almost) completely caught up with global craft beer trends with this well-executed, tasty hazy IPA. Better than expected, to be frank.

Can. Color: Clear amber, off-white head. Aroma: Malty. Taste: Malty, some caramel, bread, toast. Some hoppy bitterness and slightly roasted malt at the finish. Some fruity raisin and very light hints of red fruit. Medium body, average carbonation. Ok Märzen lager.

Can from Beerdome. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with a minor chili note. 160323

0.44 l can from 'Beerdome', best before October 2023. A little hazy, deep reddish amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, a little fruity aroma of caramel, nuts, some honey, light red fruits and a touch of sultanas. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity taste of caramel, nuts, honey, some red fruits and traces of sultanas, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice Märzen, ticks all the boxes of the style and adds some refreshing fruitiness to it.
