In the Wild East, you have to work together. Therefore three friends joined forces and started to brew beer in the old smithery of Purtse castle. Their holy desire was to make beer so good that you would become sad when the glass started to empty.

The men of Purtse do not hold annual press conferences in Narva, nor do they give empty promises about improving everyday life of Ida-Virumaa. They are doing it here and now, because they like it wild in here.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Lightly hazy golden, coarse lively head. Gnerous aroma of tangerine and marmalade. Mid sweet with light to medium body and clean rounded mouthfeel. Fruity, crackery malt. Piney tangerine and bitter orange marmalade. Quite bitter finish.

33cl can from Rimi Supermarket, Tallinn. Dark, dark mahogany coloured body with a fast dissipating head. Roasty and malty with notes of dark, dried fruits. Medium sweet with medium flavour intensity and body on the lighter side. Quite drinkable.

Can shared at a tasting at Schnitt brewpub in Tel Aviv. Cloudy yellow with a light reddish hue. Some tomato, a bit of black pepper, Tabasco note, spicy, sour, yogurt, salty. OK.

0,33l bottle from a neighbor, enjoyed @ home. Pours very dark brown with a high tan head. Aroma is slightly sweet roasted malts with some coffee and a light vegetal note. Flavor is sweet roasted malts, coffee, hops. Good.

Smooth mild creamy beginning. easy to drink, grainy with a sweetish creamy finish. Grain, caramel. Moderate bitter with vanilla and coffee. Nice bitterd dry in the end.
