In 1878 Master Brewer William Gideon Åberg and his wife Onni founded a brewery in Iisalmi. At that time, there were some 78 breweries in Finland. Olvi is the only one left in independent Finnish ownership.

(Can, 0.5l, from a supermarket, 20240726) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized, white and it lasted long. Aroma had resin, creamy toffee and citrus fruits. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were resin, citrus fruits, biscuits, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, malty and bitter. A nice hoppy brew with bit thin finish.

Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were watermelon, grass, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was watery and bitter. A watered down hoppy brew.

Can 330ml (KSM Karjaranta)
Golden colour, small white head. Dry malty, a bit metallic nose. Light-bodied. As expected, typical Olvi watery flavour. Some Olvi household sweet fruityness but overall sensation is: no malts or hops.

Can at home, Espoo. Enjoyed straight from the can. Aromas and flavours. Some fruits, grass, hops and malts. Not so good as I expected but price/quality value is ok.

330ml bottle. One of the worst beer in the world, no chyba ze zle lub zbyt dlugo bylo przechowywane. Koslawa dziwna mala buteleczka z uszkodzona etykieta, podrapana data spozycia od niepowaznej osoby. Piwo slabe jak opady deszczu tego lata. Piana mizerna, chmielnosc niewielka niczym ostatnio apetyt mojej kotki. Do tego jakies bezplciowe, bez ciala i glebszej tresci. a wyglad jak woda puszczona z kranu zardzewiala puszczona przez wodociagi po zamknieciu. Nie polecam
