Viru Brewery was Estonia's third largest brewery, and produced the Wiru, Puls, Žiguli and various other brands. It was located in Haljala in Lääne-Viru County.

Production of beer was discontinued in 2020.

Bottle at Chriso’s. Aroma is malt, cardboard, slight bit of skunk. Flavor of cardboard, ass, paper malts, grass. Bad stuff.

At Chriso Pre Gbbf 2011. Pale gold with lasting white head. Pale lager. Its an ok pale lager with some sting on the end. Fine

500ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Malty and slightly metallic aroma with a hint of corn. Malty,sweet and faintly bitter taste with corn and grain detected.

500ml Bottle - Pale golden with a white head. Yeast,malt,grain and a faint hint of banana in the aroma. Malty and moderately bitter taste with grain,corn and a noticeable sweetness.

Bottled, from Tallinn Clear pale golden, rocky head. Bready malt aroma with some citrus. Mid sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel and light body. Bready malt sprinkled with a dash of lemon. Low bitterness. Fairly drinkable lager.

Bottled, thanks SaintMatty! Clear mahogany colour, small creamy beige headFruity yeasty nose with saccharine and boiled vegetables. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Caramel with artificial sweetener and pea soup. Low bitterness.

Bottled, thanks SaintMatty! Clear pale golden, brief head.Rich ginger aroma. Mid sweet with rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Ginger dominates, but does not overpowering everything else. Fruity and somewhat grainy. Low bitterness. Decent beer for a Harboe owned brewer.

Thanks Kairit! Clear golden color, small white head. Light corn malty nose. Light body. Light palate. Grassy, sweetish malty flavor. Not total failure, but just too weak.
