Dark brown. Soft molasses, mellow bitterness but it’s mostly sweet. Light fruitiness. Complex, a shot of alcohol in the finish to dry it out a bit. I may be in the minority but I like this take on imperial stout and this example does it well.

Dull amber, thin head. Fairly fruity, with a toasty caramel malt base. Moderate bitterness. A bit yeasty but otherwise a decent take on this style.

Has okay deeper ruby brown body, okay foam. Smells of nice malt and caramel, some biscuit. Taste is good maltiness, molasses, lingering sweetness. Nothing complex but quite drinkable.

Has weak foam on a softly cloudy light gold body. Smells of vague hops, indistinctive. Taste is good citrusy hops, a bit of dank pine. Ends crisp, slightly oily. Nothing spectacular but getting the job done.

Has good foam on a clear lighter gold body. Aroma is mellow citrusy hops, nothing else. Taste is all soft citrus hops, finishes a little too wet. It's pretty boring.

Has good foam and a slightly foggy yellow body. Aroma is okay corn and cardboard. Tastes of mellow corn, vague honey. Ends crisp with good carbonation. It's a drinkable, predictable lager which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
