Description
Located in the Original 1830 Brewery coach house owned by the Hart “Brewing” Family of Broad Town and Royal Wootton Bassett, once again the town and surrounding villages have their own local brewery… Only, this time it has Alpacas!
Our beer is “Niche Batch Brewed” meaning the attention to detail and quality is of the highest importance to us. Every brew we undertake starts with high quality ingredients from the best maltings, hops and yeast that we can source, with a nod to consistency and a sense of adventure.
We monitor every stage of the brewing process to ensure that the final product is second to none. We are passionate about every aspect of our business and we think this shows in every cask and bottle of conditioned ale that we produce.
We were “Born To Brew” and always believe that every ale has to be “Conditioned and Never Rushed” to ensure you get the best ale we can possibly create.
Since launching in 2019, our beers have proven so popular that we’ve recently upscaled from using a 500L german-made Braumeister to a 6BBL (918L) brewhouse, which is now based in Calne. Our original brewing location has been converted into additional seating space in our quaint taproom, The Hop Chapel.

Bottle ordered from Inn At Home, Newbury. Aroma has rich malty chocolate and coffee, with underlying liqourice and sour vanilla cream. Pours opaque cola brown. Thick foamy microbubbled beige head. Medium-heavy bitter with a tart edge. Espresso, charcoal liqourice and gooseberries. As it warms it develops hoppy spice and citrus. Light bodied. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. Dry slightly astringent finish. Decent enough. The hoppiness makes me think more of a Black IPA than a lager yeast influenced Baltic Porter.

28/1/2021. Bottle bought direct from the brewery, part of a dozen mixed case. Pours unclear, dull amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is fruity, grapefruit, hoppy, malty, touch of spruce. Low to moderate sweetness, quite heavy bitterness. Medium body, fine carbonation. Bitter finish. Not bad and got better than first impressions, but seemed a little unrefined.
