12/10/2023. Cask at Nottingham Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2023. Pours clear dark mahogany brown with a small bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma of light roasted malt, milk chocolate, dark fruits, caramel, nut. Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Moderate body, slightly watery, very soft carbonation. Light drying roasted finish. Pretty decent but lacked a bit of body.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours “bitter brown” with mnimal off-white head. The aroma is a nice combination of malts and traditional hops. In the mouth it has a creamy texture and varies between sweet and bitter. Flavour is initially malts, then traditional hops become evident, along with hints of tangy marmalade. This is quite reasonable – plenty of flavour.
