Many thanks to Tommy for this one. From a bottle, shared with Finn. Deep dark brown body, shattered lacing, naked surface. Promising aromas of dark caramel and a note of dark fruits. Solid taste character with oak, caramel, dark berry-fruits, and toffee. Long tail with a bourbon touch. Smooth and rounded mouthfeel. Excellent. (Tromsø, 21.07.2026).

This seems to be a triple collaboration, as a friend took me to Highland Park back in the day I felt I had to grab it.

Closer than you think
Double dry-hopped west coast IPA 6.7%

Nice bright yellow color with fizzy foam and a perfumey hop bouquet. It has a woodsy herbal hop flavor that’s fairly bright with lemongrass notes.

All were good but the first I had today was the best.

First up:

Everywhere Everything Always
West Coast IPA 6.3%

Light matte gold with fizzy big bubbled white foam. Light bodied dry and crushable. The taste is bright herbal and spritzy piney hops with a hint of mint and lime.

Crushable on a hot day.

Poured up on tap at Tipsy Cactus where it exhibits an opaque paper gold colored body that supports an off white head that leaves behind some sheet lacing. The aroma offers up inviting citrus and mango juice hoppiness making me double check if this is a fruited beer. It isn't. Damn. The taste delivers pleasing tangy citrus hop depth paired with mango like juiciness. The citrus hop bitterness builds to midway and is then tamed a bit by tropical mango juiciness bubbling to the surface. This creates very little sweetness, the bane of the style, and maintains tangy hoppiness into the finish. Tastes like some of the very early hazies before brewer's softened the shit out it to try and provide a beer for people who don't like beer.
