Bottle. Unclear deep brown liquid. Small head of short life. Aroma: candy, toffee, treacle, clove, more spices, dried fruit. Full body. Light to medium sweet taste. Lots of complex dark malts. The spiciness is out of balance I guess. Yet it is the only well made ale of the Belgian series featuring, besides Quad, a Dubbel and a Tripel.

Bottle. Muddy pale amber. Fizzy small head that lives some seconds. Aroma: candy, fruit, spices, dried banana, a phenolic touch. Similar taste. Medium body. Low bitterness. Not that bad yet far under the style leaders standard.

Bottle. Muddy amber colour. Minimal head. Nose: spicy yeast, caramel, toffee, dried fruit, some plastic feel. Medium body. The taste has light sweetness. Dark malts. Spices, fruit, mushrooms. Low bitterness. Within the style but not spectacular at best.

37.5cl bottle. Opaque deep brown to black ale. Small beige head that holds on. Nose: roast, vanilla, caramel, capuccino. Not that intense. Medium to full body. Rich taste. Well-blended dark malts, dried fruit, warming brandy-like alcohol, chocolate, light hop bitterness. Another good impy from Konix. Please improve the rest of the line-up.
