33cl bottle from Vynoteka, Vilnius. Pours clear golden with a modest, white head that doesn't last. Mild ginger aroma with notes of honey and grain, not much else. Feels a bit watery, on the sweet side, but fairly balanced still.

Ruby colour, small off-white head. Toasted sweetish caramelly aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Sweet caramelly flavour, some buttery notes, some toasted sugars. Overall quite simple sweet porter. Not among the best similar Baltic Porters.

(Keg at Alynas Klaipėda, 20240626) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, fruitiness and mildly grain. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grass, grain, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, grainy and bitter. A brew having some of the characteristics of Kellerbier but they are not ok.

9/6/2024. Draft at Buon Giorno Trattoria, Kaunas. As Kauno Gyvas Šviesusis clear deep golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is buttery, caramel, malt, fruits, grass, spiced edge. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Moderate body, oily, average carbonation. Sweet buttery finish with a bitter bite. Not bad, certainly not the worst beer of the trip.

Bottled. Copper colour, small off-white head. Aroma is malts, honey, some ripe fruits, raisins and figs. Flavour is quite similar, but also has some rye and a slight grassy bitterness to it as well. Quite bodied, and actually pleasant to drink.
