Smell- weak, malt, hops, bit acidic, but simple. Foam- thin. hops, malt, acidic tones, soft. Head is medium to small, creamy, yellow-white color. Appearance - nice looking bottle with sailing related stuff on it, unique brewer bottle cap, nice. Clear red, ruby color, weak carbonation. Later goes hazy, brown-red color. Hazy, but not fully, orange, brown color, very vibrant and pretty in my opinion. From - snifter Taste - citrus, malt, hops, weak bitter notes, fruits. The aftertaste is short but has some bitter and malt notes. Very light and drinkable. Quite ok.

Smell-weak, citrus, fruits Foam- thin, citrus, fruits notes then hoppy bitter-sweetness.The head is large, white or creamy, yellow-white color. Sticks a bit too. Appearance - brewer bottle cap, looks good, with a lady on the beach going for a surf, almost enough for an extra point, and considering I want to give, I will... Hazy yellow color, medium to high carbonation. From - pint glass Taste - citrus, a lot of fruits, some sweetness, then some hops come, but all is very well put together. Fruity, hops in the back at an acceptable level, refreshing, why not?

Smell-weak to medium, malt, acidic notes, caramel somewhere. Foam- thin, malt, weak sourness. Head is small to medium, creamy, brown, white color.. crema I guess or some coffee foam. Appearance- nice brewer bottle cap, nice drawing and nice name, me like :D Medium dark, clear brown, very few carbonation bubbles. From - stout glass Taste - malt, citrus, some sourness, some gruits notes and some other tastes.. familiar but can't pinpoint. I don't like sour beers, this is closing to that line I don't enjoy, but this I can drink, together with some suiting food - sure, why not. But on its own, I skip in the future, just not my style.

4,7% alcohol Smell- medium strong, malt, roast, coffee. Foam- medium-thick, roast, some coffee and bit of caramel, but then roasted bitterness and malt goes in. Small, dark brown head Appearance - nice looking bottle with an octopus on it, unique brewer bottle cap, nice. Very dark brown, but almost black, some little tiny bit of carbonation. From - stout glass Taste- roast, roasted malt, weak bitter notes, coffee, some caramel somewhere. I am used to this kind of beers having a lot more alcohol, but this is light, what I think in a way works in its favor and against it. Still decent, low on bitterness but strong on malt and roast.

0,33l bottle from Lauvas Alus, Riga. This version is 6.1%. Clear mid brown beer with medium but quickly vanishing head. Aroma has not much at all. Flavor too, is quite mild, with some sweet malts and maybe hints of dark fruits. But too pale and mild this is with not much flavors at all.

Tap at Ziemelu Enkurs, Riga Pours a hazy pinkish orange with a medium white head. Nose has apples but the mouth is a completev mess. Oranges, olive oil, walnuts and gooseberries, leave a pretty sickening finish. Avoid !

On tap at Ziemelu Enkurs, Riga Golden Yellow, slightly hazy with a small white head. Oranges and a hint of malt in the nose. Fruity and hoppy in the mouth with lemons and oranges. A bit watery and let down by the finish with turns to grass cuttings. Not bad though – just not as good as the Kviesitis I’d just finished.

On tap at Ziemelu Enkurs, Riga Pours a pale greenish yellow with minimal head, but good lacing. Wheat and malt combine to give a good nose. In the mouth it is mainly wheat with low carbonation, but with a good helping of spices too, coriander, cloves, and nutmeg feature. Spices take over at the finish. A bit restrained compared to the best witbiers, and very nice and drinkable.
